Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! (Ps. 103:1)
I read from a book how we often ask God to bless what we do. The author challenged us to think differently. How can I bless the Lord? What can I do today to bless His holy name? How can Community Bible Study bless the Lord in Europe?
As CBS Europe we are doing our best to bless the Lord in our continent where, as The Guardian newspaper notes, “Christianity as Default is gone”. The article is worth reading (link). It tells that;
The survey of 16- to 29-year-olds found the Czech Republic is the least religious country in Europe, with 91% of that age group saying they have no religious affiliation. Between 70% and 80% of young adults in Estonia, Sweden and the Netherlands also categorise themselves as non-religious.
CBS is working in all of these four nations so that lives can be transformed by the Word of God.
- This year we have started CBS in Estonia to make disciples in this one of the most secular nations in Europe.
- We have started implementing CBS Children and Youth ministry in Lithuania and Serbia.
- We had our first ever CBS Youth weekend in England in January. A similar event will happen soon in Germany, too. Without focusing on new young leaders, we will not be able to hand over the ministry to the next generation.
- CBS in Europe is seeing joint-ministry opportunities with churches, denominations and organizations.
May God grant us wisdom and strength so that more and more people in Europe would learn to bless His holy name.
